Eve mattress topper composition
The Eve mattress topper was one of the best mattress toppers in the UK. 🏆
This medium-firm foam mattress topper offered excellent orthopaedic support, moulding to the body, reducing pressure points, and providing a more comfortable night's sleep.
It was composed of the same luxurious materials used in the Eve Original mattress!
The Eve topper consisted of 2 layers:
- A top comfort layer of open-cell foam (2 cm / 0.7 inches)
- A sturdy layer of ultra-resilient reflex base foam (3 cm / 1.1 inches)
The EveComfort top layer was 30x more breathable than traditional memory foam.
Its open-cell structure helped wick away moisture and allowed for more airflow, meaning a cooler and more comfortable sleep for you. 😴
The base foam layer enhanced the topper's support and stability.
Both foams were CertiPUR-certified [1], while the mattress topper cover carried the OEKO-TEX-Standard-100 [2] certification.
These certifications guaranteed the topper was free from harmful chemicals and toxins. 😊
Eve mattress topper cover
The Eve mattress topper cover came in the characteristic white-and-yellow design of the Eve Sleep brand.
It was made of:
- 100% two-way stretch polyester on the top panel and sides
- 100% polypropylene base panel
The cover also featured four sturdy straps.
These straps secured the topper to your mattress and prevented it from moving around during the night.
Was the Eve mattress topper washable?
The topper itself wasn't washable, but the cover was removable and machine-washable at 40°C.

So, you'd get the best results if you used an Eve mattress topper with a quality mattress, whether an Eve mattress or one from another reputable brand.
If you're sleeping on a terrible mattress, a mattress topper won't magically improve its feel, as it relies on the mattress's support.
If you have an old mattress that's worn out or sagging, no topper will make it more comfortable or better for your spine. ⛔

Did the Eve mattress topper have good temperature regulation?
The Eve mattress topper slept cooler than you would have thought.
While memory foam is prone to storing heat, the Eve topper combatted this by using open-cell foam to promote airflow and wick away moisture.
But, while the Eve foam mattress topper didn't sleep too hot, it was still made of memory foam and didn't offer the coolest sleep environment either.
If you are a very hot sleeper or heavy sweater, we'd suggest moving away from memory foam entierly.
The Simba Hybrid mattress topper, which features springs to improve air circulation and reduce heat retention, is a much better investment.
