But is it comfortable for your sleeping position? 🤔
Side sleepers
Side sleepers, especially those who are more sensitive around the shoulders, may find the Origin Hybrid Pro a bit too solid. 🧱
Our tester found the mattress too firm for the side sleeping position, leading to noticeable pressure in the shoulders and knees, which could result in discomfort.
For our tester (who weighs between 50 and 70 kg), the pressure distribution was uneven, with more stress on the knees and less support for the shoulders.
Therefore, we’d recommend that side sleepers under 70 kg opt for a softer option, such as the Simba Hybrid mattress.
Back sleepers
Back sleepers should experience better comfort with the Origin Hybrid Pro.
The mattress does an excellent job of evenly distributing body weight, alleviating pressure points at the hips and shoulders.
However, it may lack sufficient support for the lower back, as indicated in our tests by dark blue spots showing under pressure in this area during sleep tests. 👩🔬
This could be a point of concern for those who need more support for their lumbar region.
Stomach sleepers
The Origin Hybrid Pro performs well for stomach sleepers, providing excellent weight distribution across major pressure points like the chest, shoulders, and hips.
This sleeping position does not show any significant pressure or lack of support issues, indicating that the mattress maintains a balanced surface for stomach sleepers. ⚖️
However, despite the overall good distribution, stomach sleepers should be cautious of potential neck alignment issues, as laser line photography shows the neck not aligning perfectly with the spine.
This could potentially lead to discomfort or strain over time.
