Memory foam
The Hypnia Supreme Hybrid contains a top layer of memory foam.
Memory foam (also known as viscoelastic foam) is incomparable to other materials.
Memory foam adapts to your body to relieve pressure from the joints and encourage the natural alignment of your spine.
The muscles relax and the spine stays neutral all night, which prevents you from waking up with back pain.
Most memory foam retains heat, creating a warmer sleep.
However, the Hypnia Supreme Hybrid combines cooler materials for better temperature regulation.

Latex layer
Below the memory foam is a latex layer, which helps to add additional comfort.
Like memory foam, latex moulds around the joints but has a firmer feel to prevent the body from sinking too much.
Latex is manufactured with breathable pinholes throughout the material to encourage air to flow out of the mattress. 🌬️
It is naturally hypoallergenic, making it an excellent choice for allergy sufferers.
Latex is also one of the most durable mattress materials, ensuring the Hypnia Supreme Hybrid lasts even longer. ⌛
Honeycomb layer
The honeycomb layer promotes the natural alignment of the body to help you stay supported all night long.
Unlike memory foam, this layer is made of much firmer foam designed like a honeycomb to ensure maximum stability.
Pocket spring layer
The base of the mattress has an advanced pocket spring system.
Pocket springs support the body by moving independently from one another and providing support in each individual area.
The pocket-sprung layer comprises 7 support zones, providing extra stability across the body.
In short, firmer springs will be zoned in the areas where you need the most support.
Hypnia Supreme Hybrid cover
The Hypnia Supreme Hybrid mattress cover is made from a highly breathable OEKO-TEX-certified [1] fabric.
This means materials have undergone various safety tests to ensure they do not include harmful chemicals or fibres.
The Hypnia cover also promotes air circulation to prevent you from overheating at night.
The cover has handles, making the mattress easy to move around when necessary.
This is particularly useful as the Hypnia Supreme Hybrid mattress is quite heavy.
Unfortunately, the cover is not removable, which is partly due to the design of the mattress and its integrated topper.👎
This means you can’t take the cover off and wash it.
We encourage those with allergies or who sweat during sleep to invest in a mattress with a washable cover, such as the Nectar mattress and Emma Original.
How firm is the Hypnia Supreme Hybrid mattress?

The Hypnia Supreme Hybrid is a low motion transfer mattress.
Motion transfer refers to how much movement is transferred across the mattress.
For example, when your partner gets out of bed, you may feel this movement on your side of the bed.
But a low motion transfer mattress absorbs this movement, keeping the mattress and you undisturbed on the other side.

In fact, we didn't feel any disturbance when our partner climbed in or out of the bed.

Does the Hypnia Supreme Hybrid mattress sleep hot?
We tested this mattress during the summertime. 🌞
The Hypnia Supreme Hybrid mattress has excellent breathability.
Memory foam mattresses generally store heat, which can create a warmer sleeping environment.
However, memory foam combined with pocket springs generally has better temperature regulation.
Excess heat can dissipate through the gaps of the springs for better circulation. 🌬️
Latex also has excellent ventilation as it is structured with breathable pinholes that help to push out excess heat.
The hybrid mattress stayed at a comfortable temperature throughout the night.
Warm sleepers may experience a cooler sleep on this hybrid mattress. 🌡️
Instead, hot sleepers should consider a cooler mattress, such as the Simba Hybrid Luxe or Emma Luxe Cooling mattress.

This makes it easy to transport through stairwells and narrow entryways.
When you hit checkout, you’ll have several delivery options:

When we first unboxed our Hypnia Supreme Hybrid mattress, we noticed it had a strange smell. ♨️
This is completely normal and is known as off-gassing [2].
Most bed-in-a-box mattresses experience some form of off-gassing, and the smell can vary in intensity.
This should disappear within a few days, or even less in a well-ventilated room.
