Overall, we had a very good experience with the Emma mattress. It’s a soft mattress but offers a medium strength. We'd rate it at 4/10 on our firmness scale.
Our team members describe the feeling of lying on the Emma mattress as “pleasantly soft”. The two upper comfort layers of Airgocell and memory foam are responsible for this soft comfort. Both foams are highly adaptable and relieve pressure.

The Emma mattress is particularly comfortable when sleeping on your side due to its pressure relief and body contouring capabilities. The additional support zones also keep the spine in a healthy position and reduce back pain.
This mattress also offers a comfortable sleeping climate. The Airgocell layers and the fine-meshed top cover noticeably reduce heat storage. This is also necessary as Visco foam is generally warmer. We did not sweat during our test sleep - despite testing in 25-degree summer weather.
Our thermal image showed that the Emma mattress only stored heat in the places where our test sleeper lay. The rest of the mattress remained at a comfortable temperature. If the sleeping position is changed, those warmer places cooled down again due to the good breathability of the mattress.
The Emma Original also has fairly low motion transfer and high point elasticity, which is great for couples. This is due to the foam layers that absorb and dampen movements.
The tests we carried out show how good the motion transfer of the Emma Original is. Due to a sophisticated design and high-quality foam layers, the mattress is able to absorb the movements in such a way that others would not feel it. This ensures that you won't wake up unnecessarily if your partner moves.
