The Nectar mattress is delivered free of charge within four business days.
Currently, Nectar Sleep only delivers within mainland UK and cannot deliver to some areas of Scotland, Northern Ireland, or offshore islands, including the Isle of Wright.
Nectar ships with BJS Home Delivery.
You can select your ideal delivery date during the checkout process. You'll also receive a text message or e-mail with delivery tracking information.
Like other box mattresses, the Nectar is delivered rolled up and compressed in a compact box.
Usually, Nectar gives you the option of choosing a two-person delivery service for an additional cost of £20, where your mattress is delivered directly to your room of choice.
This service has been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic and couriers will only be able to deliver to the front door of your house or building.
How do you unpack the mattress?
Unpacking the Nectar mattress is easy:
- Remove the rolled-up and vacuum-sealed mattress from the box.
- Unfold it.
- Cut open the plastic wrapping with the handy cutter provided in the box.
You may notice a slight odour when you first unwrap the mattress. This is called off-gassing, a side effect of the production process, and is neither toxic nor harmful.
The smell will dissipate quite quickly, but we'd still recommend unpacking your new mattress in a well-ventilated room.
Once the plastic wrapping has been removed, your mattress will slowly expand to its correct size.
Our mattress took about half an hour to inflate, but it can take up to 4-6 hours to expand fully.

365-night home trial

Mattress removal
Nectar can also remove your old mattress for a small additional fee, saving you the trouble of having to dispose of it.
Mattress removal does not take place at the same time as new mattress delivery.
This is because Nectar relies on their removal partner, AnyJunk, to arrange for and collect your old mattress. It will need to be picked up outside your property.
Worn mattresses are recycled, but mattresses in a good-enough condition are donated to the British Heart Foundation.
